The word for 2021 is WELLNESS. I am sure we can all agree that 2020 was a difficult year filled with many obstacles. 2020 came with a pandemic, heightened racial injustice, wildfires, a heated presidential election and so many uncertainties. During this time of the year we are all so use to setting our New Year Resolutions. But as you are setting your goals for this year I want you to remember to be gentle with yourself.
Many of the events that occurred this year, a lot of us have never experienced before. It is safe to say we are all in recovery. We are recovering from direct and/or indirect traumas. This year it is important to take your time and be patient with yourself. Take on this year one day at a time.
You do not have to be a new you just a better you. A better you needs the care you may not have been able to give yourself in 2020. Its okay to go after your dreams and check off your goals but remember to check in on yourself as well. Take time to breathe. Take time to reflect. Take time to relax. Be a little selfish to take care of yourself. You deserve it now more than ever.
Be well. Be Kind. Be Safe.
